Hutchings Hairy Halloween!!

So pretty much my family can't do anything normal, including the Halloween Holiday!! Mindy and Jason invited all the Sacramento family overthe Sunday before to carve pumpkins, make traditional ghosts for the window and find costumes!! As you will see in the pictures that follow, this is what you get when you leave us to do it on our own!! Hehehe!! Happy Halloween!!

Gotta Love Family!!

If anyone knows anyone in my family you know that whenever we get together good times pursue (and crazy ones at that too)!! I am lucky enough to live close to my parents and little brother and sister, one sister and her husband, and another brother and his girlfriend. My littlest sister is a cheerleader at Elk Grove High School so we usually get together to go to her games and watch them. And of course we take fun pictures!! Then we try to have as much fun as possible afterwards!! Just take a look and see.!!

LIFE (or something like that)!!

The regional YSA group here decided to have an activity where we got to play a real life version of the board game LIFE!! I have to admit that it was a blast!! You started off at the MTC where you wrote a letter to a soldier in Iraq. Then you had to answer questions to see how much in debt you'd be for going to college. You went to college (mad libs) and then graduated and got a job (roll of the dice. I was an accountant. Go figure). Then you went to a bachelor or bachelorette party (where you made your bridal veil or tie and the girls got a ring pop ring). Then you got married. You didn't know before who were going to end up with, you just walked out a door and there he was. I luckily go paired with one of the goofiest guys in my ward named Gordo!! We had a blast!! We got married in Australia. Then we went to have kids. We rolled 6. Then flipped a coin to get 4 boys and 2 girls. We got to decorate paper cups and name them. All our kids had names of tv stars (shaun, sam, i can't remember the other two boys, ugly betty and veronica mars). Then you went and built a house. Then you got a calling. Then off to Lehi's dream, work out room (where you took your kids for a stroll), five year anniversary room, date room, and family home evening room (we played a version of jenga where you had to ask a certain question i you pulled a certain block). Then to the end. All the while you are making stops and getting paid and also receiving blessings. It was soo much fun!! Definite fun date idea of activity!! Ask me if you want more details!!

RENO 911!!

So my sister Mindy and I decided to go to Reno for a one night stay!! Okay. So my sister Mindy got a free one night stay in Reno and her husband couldn't go with her, so she invited me!! Whoopee!! We stayed at the El Dorado in a really nice room. We had fun eating at the buffet, taking pictures, watching movies, swimming, winning $85 in the penny slot machine (okay. So only I won $85. Mindy didn't win anything), and just relaxing!! It was fun to get away with my sister and just have some time off from life and the madness of it all for awhile. It was also good to have time off before I started my full time job as a personal aid for an autistic boy in 4th grade and then an part time job as an afternoon director at a montessori school. You can see that life has greatly increased in hecticness!! But its better to be busy than bored I always say!! Hehehe!

Who needs sleep?

Or money for that matter!! Can I just say that this week has been one of ups and downs. Since seminary started I've gotten very little sleep. But Tuesday night topped it all off!! I decided to help out my ward (for various reasons) and go to the cannery here to help can tomatoes. Too bad the shift began at 9:30 pm and didn't get over until 1:30 pm!! I was soo tired when I got home, but it was still kind of fun!! We got to seperate tomatoes into good peeled ones and bad peeled ones. A friend of mine and I even got into a tomatoe war throwing tomatoes at each other (don't worry, it was only a few)!! I didn't finally get to sleep that night until 2 am and had to wake up at 5 am. Talk about the living dead. That's what I felt like all day. Hopefully I can make up for it it this week sometime!! Then on top of that bills are starting to be due and I have to worry about how I am going to pay for them. It has been stressful and not fun to deal with, but its helping me to become the adult that I should. I did get to go to the temple yesterday although the speaker broke and we had to sit for 20 minutes while they tried to fix it. They finally just read the script. It was quite an experience. The crazy things that happen in my week!!

Like Father, Like Daughter!

So, since both my dad and I have hard a time getting full time steady jobs, we end up doing a lot of job hunting and applying for jobs together. We both needed some immediate cash and mom found a job on craig's list for the California State Fair. We both applied to work in concessions at the fair and got the job. We both got the job and worked for about 15 days as cashiers and pouring beer (the lovely benefits of working for the fair)!! It was fun and we had fun traveling to and from work together and sharing news of the crazy people we worked with!! It has definitely helped to build a closer relationship between us!! And we got into the fair free whenever we wanted. How bad can that be?!

Fair Day

So Brendon, Breanna, and I spent a couple of hours at the The California State Fair with Cara and John. I actually work there right now as a cashier at a concession stand. I'll post more on that later. Anyway, the theme for this year is that the fair has gone Hollywood. They have a whole area with fronts to different movies that you can take pictures with.(Pirates on the loose)

They also had a green screen where you can take your picture and photo shop it into a movie. I did Open Season!! It was fun. Then after I was done working (they went to an Air supply concert while I was at work, but oh well), we went to the exhibit rooms and saw tons of paintings and props from movies!! (The painting I want for my baby's room. If you can't tell it's classic pooh!)
I was in heaven and you would have been too Chad. We ended with trip to a memorial to 9/11. How sad and powerful, but made me realize that this was one of the reasons I want to become a firefighter (I know. It changes every week. What can I say)!! They had a marble ball in a water fall with all the deceased names and part of the beam of one of the Twin Towers. It was soo powerful. I still want to get around to the rest of the fair, but haven't had time yet. I do get in free so I should definitely take advantage no?!

Proposition 8!!

So for those of you who don't know about California and proposition 8, I'm going to tell you. In 2004 California had a vote whether to keep marriage defined as a union between a man and a woman or if we would allow same sex marriages. We voted and man and woman won!! YIPEE!! Just recently that was turned around and same sex marriages are being allowed at the moment in the state of California. We have another vote coming up in November to see if the state of California will keep this law intact and define marriage as the union of man and woman only. If you live in this state please vote yes on proposition 8. If not, please pray and see if there is anyway of helping out in this cause. NEW DO!!

Decided it was time for a total change!! A new overhaul. So the first thing to go was the hair!! I decided I wanted an A line cut, but I the 2 girls I knew that had that cut both their dressers had moved to either Texas or Folsom. So I decided to just go to Great Clips and get it done. Let me say that you definitely get what you pay for!! They chopped all my hair one length and it looked like a triangle. So mom and dad paid for me to go to a real salon (which by the way I am a complete convert to now) and they totally fixed it! They thined it out and shaped it and now it looks A-DOR-A-BLE!! Here's the pics to prove it!!

EFY Take 3!!

So this next EFY was in the beautiful town of cedar city!! It was a week of laughter, love, fun, sharing, and trials. The biggest trial was being let go as an EFY counselor!! It was a long drawn out story with lots of tears, heart break, miscommunication, and misunderstanding!! I'm sad I'm no longer a counselor, but looking forward to the next step in my life, moving forward and becoming a grown up!! I did feel like I connected more with my youth this week than I have in weeks past as they confided in me and came to me for council (thus the idea of being a counselor) and advice. Even the boys trusted in me more as their counselor was a little off!! It was a good week where I learned many things!! If only it could have ended better!!
