ENGAGED!!!

Story time: Once upon a time there was a tree. This tree had much history with Amberlyn Hutchings and Nathan Kleinman. One day, Nathan told Amberlyn he wanted to take a picture of her by the tree for his brother on a mission. Amberlyn gladly conceded. After the awkward pictures were taken, Nathan went to put the camera away in the camera bag on the ground by the tree while Amberlyn stood behind him and watched. Suddenly, Nathan swiveled around with a box in his hands. Amberlyn shockingly asked "Are you serious?" (as she assumed it was a joke from previous encounters with said tree). The reply was in the affirmative. To which Amberlyn covered her mouth and began to cry. At this point, smiling so big it almost jumped off his face, Nathan inquired "Will you marry me?" Amberlyn enthusiastically, although somewhat muffled, replied, "YES!!" When Amberlyn did not immediately remove her hands from her mouth, Nathan questioned, "Would you like me to put it on for you?" Amberlyn, speechless at this point, affirmed he could with a subtle head nod. After the ring was in place and a hug ensued, Nathan, rather quizzically, asked, "So was that a yes?" (Apparently proposing had caused temporary deafness) to which Amberlyn ecstatically exclaimed, "Definitely YES!!" The end.
The "fake" proposal for April Fool's day for my students. The story that I made up for this one was that he sent me on a scavenger and the last clue was: "Go to the spot where you first 'fell' for me." Story about that more in a minute. My kids totally believed this story and the ring, which surprisingly enough, looks very similar to my real ring!!!
