Temple Trip Troubles

Whoever said that going to temple brought temporal blessings has underestimated the power of Satan. On my way to the church I hit the curb, but not just the curb, but the storm drain as well. So as you can guess I sliced the wall of my front right tire meaning I drove to the church on a flat. I went to the temple and then asked all the men to help me change it. We first couldn't get my car jacked up, then my spare was flat, then no other tires from other people's cars would fit on my car, then it was off to get my tire pumped up with air, and finally we got it on after a half an hour. Needless to say I didn't get into bed until midnight and it was quite the experience. And it didn't stop there. I went the next day to get a new tire and found out that my back left tire was completely flat and the tread completely gone so the spare went from the front right to the back left. Gotta love tires and getting them fixed.

Human Foosball

I have to hand it to our wards Family Home Evening committee. They decided to have a human foosball game. One othe committee works for a construction company so he borrowed pcvp pipe from work and put it together and we all put our arms or hands on it and played. Or tried to play!! It turned it out to be a blast even though it gave my arm muscles cramps and it was harder than you think (having to work with others and only being able to move side to side isn't that easy)!! Way to go FHE!!

Bowling for Brendon

Brendon wanted to have a party with his friends for his birthday and since we just had a new bowling alley open up close to home (Strikes), we opted for that. We had a good turn out. Probably about 20 or so people including Mom, Dad, Breanna, Mindy and Jason. The bowling alley was really nice. Igt should be since its new, but you never know. I played with Mindy, Jason, Breanna, Mom and Dad and actually won the first game. I'm not as bad as I thought I was. The second game we played I just had fun and bowled a different way each time. My favorite one was the one where I turned in a circle and threw the ball without looking and almost got a strike!! Yay for bowling crazy!! Of course I got the lowest score the second time, but it was well worth it!! It was also worth staying up till midnight even though I had seminary the next day!! It was a fun night!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

New Year's was a little different this year!! Mom, dad and I went out to Mindy and Jason's, while Brendon went to a YSA party and Breanna went to a Youth Dance. So we went and had dinner with them and then played a few rounds of Mario Cart!! Then it was off watching Minority Report. We had to end early for the countdown. So we watched it and after it reached one we all kind of just said Happy New Year!! No confetti throwing, no pot or pan banging, no kissing. It was kind of disappointing, but still good!! Especially since my year of no chocolate had ended!! I was soo excited and yet I only got 3 pieces down before I felt sick and it was too rich!! People keep saying that I'll build it back up, but I'm not sure I want that!! Its nice to not have stipulations on what I can eat and to not have to say no!! We finished the movie and then when Brendon and Breanna came over we watched Eagle Eye!! We went to bed at 4 am and slept until 1 pm. Then it was a busy day of games, eating, hot tubbing, watching football, and watching more movies!! It was a great get away from life and all its worries, but alas it doesn't last forever!! Sigh.

Xmas at the Hutchings house!!

Xmas at the Hutchings is all about tradition!! From playing video games together, to baking cookies. To getting new pajamas to opening presents one at a time. To going out to breakfast at IHOP (that's a new one by the way) to having pizza on christmas eve. To acting out nativity (Hutchings style of course) to going to a movie for Nana's birthday (this year was Bedtime Stories. Cute movie)!!And finally to the prediction dinner!! It was a great couple of days and here are the pictures to prove it!!
