EFY Take 3!!
So this next EFY was in the beautiful town of cedar city!! It was a week of laughter, love, fun, sharing, and trials. The biggest trial was being let go as an EFY counselor!! It was a long drawn out story with lots of tears, heart break, miscommunication, and misunderstanding!! I'm sad I'm no longer a counselor, but looking forward to the next step in my life, moving forward and becoming a grown up!! I did feel like I connected more with my youth this week than I have in weeks past as they confided in me and came to me for council (thus the idea of being a counselor) and advice. Even the boys trusted in me more as their counselor was a little off!! It was a good week where I learned many things!! If only it could have ended better!!

YW Camp 2008- It's a Jungle Out There!!
So this year's YW camp was WAY different than last years!! I did the same year (4th year), but this year I was the counselor instead of just the certification specialist!! I got to spend every minute with them!! Also, last year I was on crutches and this year everything was better with the new ACL and the opportunity to actually be normal and participate in everything including the 4th year hike!!! And what a blast!!! It was also great to have my little sister on the 4th year activities with me as she was helping with 4th year certification!! She was a blast to hang out with and bond with!! I also bonded with another 4th year (who actually wasn't in my group)!! We came up with the phrase "Pretty much", as she actually used it to make fun of another girl, (i know we're bad), and made it our catch phrase of the week!! It also made for a very difficult time for the guy who was teaching us about stars to finish his presentation as we were laughing our heads off!!! I did learn some awesome things about stars though like the constellation booties!! It was all the girls favorite constellation!! I also was in charge of the water front (I was the lifeguard) and only had two minor accidents with the girls letting go of the zip line in shallow water, but no one was seriously hurt. YW's camp also consisted of skits, game shows, dances, butterfly wings (we were the butterfly's), certification relays, looming hats, chores, late night talking sessions, and fun, fun, FUN!! Definitely want to do it again!! We'll see if they want me next year!!
EFY Take 2!!
And I'm not done yet!!! I have 3 more sessions. 2 in Cedar City and 1 in Fresno!! I can't wait. This last one I did was in Rexburg. My mom asked me which one I liked better, but you can't compare the two!! Provo was HUGE and CRAZY, but Rexburg was quite and small. I only had 7 girls this time to be in charge of and every single one of them came by themselves (not with any friends or relatives). I think it made boding between them easier. One of the girls was even from Stockton CA (about an hour south of me) and new some kids I went to Hawaii with last year!! It was fun!! Our group was really fun and small!! They all got along great and worked together well!! One of the girls even saw Brendon's picture, thought he was cute, asked for his number and started texting him!! They even went on a couple of dates this last weekend!! Chalk one up for the big sis!! They also won the cheer competition!! We were the company Upon this Rock!! I'll try to post the video of their cheer!! It was AWESOME!! My girls also loved my pink pants and decided that they wanted to sign my pants, so I bought fabric pens and they went on spree!! A couple of girls even traced their hand prints on my butt and signed their names!! They are officially my EFY pants and I'm going to have all my girls sign my pants from now on!!! It was great!! Bring on the next 3 sessions!!
